About me
Jake Chen, Senior Education Programs Associate/School Engagement, has a background in theater arts and administration. Jake supports New Victory Professional Learning, championing teachers as artists through the Create Professional Learning Series run in partnership with the NYCPS and interactive workshops both at the New Victory and on-site in schools. He also co-creates content for the New Victory School Tool Resource Guides, researching relevant dramaturgical information and writing Unit Plan Brainstorms to inspire educators to integrate the performing arts into their curriculum. In addition to uplifting New Victory Professional Learning, Jake supports the Classroom Workshop program; New Victory Teaching Artists; Speak Up, Act Out; Building Spaces of Belonging; and New Victory Sensory-Friendly shows. Jake has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater from Northwestern University.
