About me
Lauren Neuwirth is a musical theatre and teaching artist based in Metro Detroit, Michigan. She just entered her 8th year teaching Drama, Choir, and Musical Theatre in for public schools in South East Michigan. Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education from Wayne State University, and master’s of fine arts degree in Theater Arts and Applied Drama and Theater for the Young from Eastern Michigan University. She has been acting for over 20 years and has been directing and music directing for the last 15 years. When not teaching, Lauren performs with local theatre groups around the Metro Detroit area; and is the co-host/producer of local theatre podcast Down Stage Left Podcast. She lives in Troy, Michigan with her husband Alan, and their two dogs Waffles and Sadie.
