About me
Maya Louise Shed is a trained arts leader and classical voice performer. She is passionate about arts advocacy and providing children with access to the performing arts, especially theatre. Her skills range from writing proposals and creating budgets to leading diverse teams, managing logistics coordination, and working with kids. A creative problem solver, active listener, and self-motivated worker, Maya consistently proves to be an asset to any team she is a part of, either as a leader or working member. Maya is a graduate student at David Geffen School of Drama at Yale (fka Yale School of Drama), working to receive her MFA in Theater Management. Currently, she is the Executive Director of The Dwight Edgewood Project and a former artistic leadership fellows at Seattle Children’s Theatre, working alongside artistic director and playwright Idris Goodwin.
