AATE 2025 National Conference

Shavonne Coleman (she/they) is an Assistant Professor of Applied Theatre in the Theatre and Drama Department at the University of Michigan. She is a fabulist, facilitator, teaching artist, actor, playwright, and cultivator of community from Detroit, MI. Shavonne is a Board Member for CTFA (Childrens Theatre Foundation of America) who is joyfully working on a chapter for a soon-to-be-published TYA play anthology entitled Every Great Dream, edited by Jose Casas and Tiffany Trent and is ecstatic to be writing an adaption of Your Name is a Song by Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow commissioned by Seattle Children's Theatre. Meriah Sage (she/her) is the Program Director/Assistant Professor in the Applied Drama & Theatre for the Young Program at EMU, specializing in Theatre for Young Audiences, arts integration, drama/theatre education, and teaching artistry. She is a director, actor, teaching artist, and arts administrator.
